A broad overview of the
estimated costing of the SFB
Beach Project is shown
below. The three major
components of the
Construction Phase are the
dredger, the sand pipeline
and the three reefs.

MS 5012 Dredger – March,
2007
The IMS 5012 HP dredger has
been selected for the
Estuary Dredging. This
self propelled dredger is
manufactured in the US and
is considered best for this
type of operation as it is
used in many similar type
operations around the world.

Fixed sand pipeline from
Pump House at Shore Road
through to the Main Beach
parking at Nevil Road. This
also includes a stand-by
