Submerged artificial reefs in various locations around the world have created an ideal habitat for additional sea life requiring a reef environment to flourish and grow. It is our belief that the St Francis Reefs will create this type of environment and will promote additional eco-tourism opportunities in the Greater St Francis area.

The SFB Beach Trust are using this initiative as a model on how environmentally sensitive approaches can be used in order to restore amenities which have been degraded as a result of misinformed environmental approaches to development.
