St Francis Bay Beach TrustEstuary Survey

Dylan Anderson completed a full bathymetric survey of the Kromme River Estuary before leaving for New Zealand at the end of July.  This information is required as part of the data for calibrating the tidal flows in and out of the Estuary.

The Aquadopp Profiler was deployed at two different positions in the Estuary as well as collecting current data from the two entrances to the canal system.  This current and pressure data once finalised, will provide detailed information on what is going on in the St Francis Waterways (canals and estuary) for detailed modelling purposes as part of the overall Beach Project.

We will shortly be in the position to place additional updated information on this site providing you with more detail including a full chart of the Estuary as far upstream as the Kromme River road bridge.
